The Crosman Vantage NP air rifle doesn’t just come in .177 caliber; you can also find it in .22 caliber. This version offers increased stopping power when hunting game, as smaller pellets can sometimes fail to take them down humanely. In addition, this Vantage rifle doesn’t have a scope.
You get a classic-style raised comb wooden stock with a rubber pad at the end. It’s durable yet comfortable to grasp, and your shoulder won’t complain at the end of the day.
The rifled barrel is covered by the company’s QuietFire device, which works similarly to a suppressor. It slows the outgoing gasses down. By the time they leave the barrel, they’re slower, and the crack is softer than without the device.
Each Vantage has a Nitro Piston powerplant, the source of the weapon’s high muzzle velocities. With lighter pellets, you can see speeds of 950 FPS. Of course, lead pellets will fly slower but have more stopping power.
As this rifle doesn’t have an optic, you’ll need to buy one first and mount it onto the dovetail rail.
