The SOPMOD acronym stands for “Special Operations Peculiar MODification,” developed for the M4 carbine. While it usually includes a laser module, suppressor, and grenade launcher, it has come to mean a family of optional M4 accessories.
To reflect this package, Lancer Tactical designed its M4 SOPMOD AEG. However, it doesn’t have a red dot sight or any accessories mentioned above. However, it does come with a vertical foregrip and detachable carrying handle, which doubles as the rear sight.
You get a quad rail handguard for customization, including some rail covers for when you don’t need all rails at once. Any Picatinny-compatible laser sight, red dot sight, and flashlight will fit and stay on even through extreme environments.
